In the woods behind my little school house in East Aurora were about 10 apple trees the children had planted in the early 1900s. Over the years the apple trees were overgrown with maples and many other trees and shrubs. In the fall the ground would be carpeted with the most beautiful tapestry of apples and leaves.

  1. I think this is one of the most gorgeous paintings I have ever seen. Far away it's photographicaly vibrant and perfect. Up close it softens.
